This past Saturday we got our family’s first real Christmas Tree, and what better way to enjoy this experience then to go hack it down personally. Wen, scoured the internet and came up with Miracle Acres Farm, a family owned and operated farm in Milford, NH. After we arrived we picked up our complimentary bow saw and were off to pick our 1st family tree. Naturally, Billy needed to carry the saw because it was too dangerous for CJ and I.
Saw in hand, Billy was drawn to the closest tree, which was also too big for our living room.
Lucky for me I was able to spot one a little deeper into the farm which looked to be just the right size. All I had to do was tell Billy that we were going to cut this tree down and he came a running, saw in hand. We were fortunate to have another family snap a quick family photo before we get to work cutting the tree down.
A few quick pointers on saw safety and my 3-year old was ready to start sawing.
10 Seconds later came the call for help and Dad had to assist, but Billy still needed to hold the saw. It was a two man effort, but we started to make some progress.
Teamwork!
Apparently we should have grabbed two saws…
Left all alone to carry out my heart shaped tree out of the woods. I guess dragging the tree is not as cool as carrying the saw!
Early – Merry Christmas.
