Tonight was the best one day, sap run ever since we started sugaring last year. Today I filled five, five gallon buckets to the 4-gallon mark for a total of 20 gallons of sap! At 7pm, when i emptied the buckets, the taps were still dripping too.
We had next to nothing running last Saturday. Sunday we collected 6 gallons. Monday we pulled 8 gallons, Today 20 gallons of sap! This brings our three day total to 34 gallons on hand. If Wednesday was anything like today I am going to need a mid week boil!
As you can see below our sap cooler is filling up.
